Impact of the organisation

The Property Industry Foundation (PIF) is an industry-wide collaboration uniting leaders across the property and construction sector to address youth homelessness in Australia.

Through its flagship program, The Haven Project, PIF funds and builds homes for young people at risk. In the past five years alone, PIF has delivered over 109 new bedrooms for homeless youth across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with a strong pipeline of future projects underway.

PIF is values-led, collaborative, and deeply connected to industry. The organisation believes that meaningful partnerships can deliver real, measurable social impact and this role sits at the heart of that mission.

Impact you will have in this role

This is a unique opportunity to lead high-impact events and engagement initiatives that directly support increasing accommodation for young people experiencing homelessness.

As the Events & Engagement Manager, you will drive the planning and delivery of fundraising events and stakeholder engagement activities across Queensland. Through building strong relationships, securing sponsorship and delivering exceptional events, you will play a key role in growing fundraising outcomes and strengthening community support for this important cause.

Your work will connect corporate partners, donors and volunteers to meaningful impact - helping translate engagement into tangible outcomes for vulnerable young people.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver a calendar of corporate and fundraising events aligned with state and national strategies.
* Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
* Identify, secure and manage event sponsorships and deliverables.
* Lead end-to-end event execution from concept through to delivery, including run sheets, logistics and stakeholder coordination.
* Build and manage strong relationships with corporate partners, sponsors and stakeholders.
* Drive community and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives.
* Lead and support volunteers, committees and Future Leaders groups.
* Deliver engagement initiatives such as working bees and charity drives.
* Monitor performance, manage risks, and deliver post-event reporting and insights.
* Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to maximise engagement and campaign outcomes.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in end-to-end event management, ideally across corporate and fundraising events.
* Demonstrated success in securing sponsorships and achieving revenue targets.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with partners and sponsors.
* Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
* Experience managing budgets, timelines and event logistics.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing proposals, briefs and presentations.
* Experience coordinating volunteers, committees or cross-functional teams.
* Comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
* Creative thinker with a passion for delivering impactful events that drive engagement and fundraising outcomes.
* A genuine alignment with PIF’s mission to end youth homelessness, and a desire to work with purpose-driven partners to deliver tangible social impact.
About You
