About The Role
We are seeking a Casual Registered Nurse to care for patients transferring from aircraft to facilities via road transport. This position involves on-road work, maintaining patient clinical stability during transfer and identifying clinical deterioration.
Responsibilities Include
* Maintaining patient clinical stability during transfer
* Identifying and escalating clinical deterioration
* Communicating with patients, medical escorts and stakeholders
* Handling administrative duties as assigned by the Senior Nurse, Emergency and Transport
Requirements
* Registration with AHPRA and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
* Current BLS and ALS qualifications or ability to obtain
* Minimum 3 years of acute post-graduate nursing experience or equivalent skill level
* 2 years ICU/ED experience
Desirable Skills
* Additional acute care skills
* Experience with DETECT and DETECT junior
* Previous triage experience
* Post-registration qualifications in acute care
