Purpose of the Position
The Maintenance Fitter is a key member of the Engineering Team, utilising trade and technical skills to support and enhance the performance of the production team. The role focuses on maintaining safety and quality standards while minimising machinery downtime across the plant.

Responsibilities
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on plant machinery
Diagnose and repair breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime
Service and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Undertake general welding, fabrication, and machining tasks
Align and level engineering assemblies and equipment
Ensure machinery and work areas are kept clean and safe
Collaborate with other departments to provide technical support when needed
Contribute to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives
Keep skills current through training and development opportunities
Follow company Quality, Environment, Safety, Drug and Alcohol policies, HSQE Management System, and Emergency Plan
Always work in line with Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications / Requirements
Trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter - Cert III
Basic Rigging Licence
Boom Elevated Work Platform Licence
Skills & Attributes
Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail
Hands-on experience with fault finding, repairs, and maintenance
Self-driven and capable of working independently
Effective at prioritising tasks in a fast-paced environment
