Quick overview of the role
Working as part of the team in our Currumbin branch, you will assist in performing quality checks, consistently monitoring parts for any defects and notifying the Leading Hand/Supervisor on shift immediately. This role will also see you undertaking packing duties with a high focus on safety and efficiency. This position is full-time opportunity, working 4x days per week on the night shift with hours of work currently set at 7pm-4.40am.
What will you be doing?
Quickly and accurately stacking and assembling the plastic spacers into the appropriate bags in accordance with the quantities assigned.
Assist in performing quality checks consistently monitoring parts for any defects and notifying the Leading Hand and/or Manager immediately.
Alert the Leading Hand and/or Manager of any machine abnormalities during operation.
Assemble the bags onto the pallets in a correct and safe manner.
Move the finished pallets onto the pallet wrapping station using the pallet mover and assist in pallet shrink wrapping as required.
Print out the bag tags as required.
Maintain the work area in a clean and tidy manner and assist the technician to clean the machines as directed by the technician.
Undertake training and competencies and once completed undertake start-up & shutdown tasks as directed by Leading Hand and/or manager.
Skills and Experiences:
What are we looking for in the successful candidate?
Previous experience in a similar role or warehouse-based environment.
Physically fit and able to operate machinery.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Current driver’s license.
Previous experience within the industry preferred.
Forklift license highly regarded.
First aid qualification preferred.
