About the role
Technology Infrastructure Project Manager — As a Technology Infrastructure Project Manager, you'll lead the delivery of critical technology projects.
Overall Purpose of Role
* Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology infrastructure projects, including network and compute upgrades, hardware and software deployments, and system integrations.
* Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, maintain clear documentation, and conduct thorough post-implementation reviews.
* Consult and engage with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements, manage expectations and ensure successful project outcomes.
* Develop and manage detailed project schedules to achieve milestones, meet deadlines and deliver agreed outcomes.
* Provide clear, timely communication of project status, risks and progress to stakeholders and senior management.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, vendors and key stakeholders to support project success.
* Proactively identify potential risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to address issues early.
* Continuously optimise project processes, tools and ways of working to drive efficiency and improve outcomes.
* Ensure all infrastructure projects comply with organisational policies, security standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
* Champion continuous improvement in project management practices and share knowledge and learnings across the team.
Experience & Qualifications
* Project Management qualifications mandatory (Prince2, PMBOK, PMP, AIPM, CPPP...)
* Five+ years\' experience of Technology Infrastructure Project Management within complex organisations (Tier 1 or 2)
* Experience working in Technology infrastructure components: switch, firewalls, servers, virtualisation, facilities (data cabling systems, UPS, racks).
* Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities, with a track record of motivating high-performing teams.
* Exceptional communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Proficiency in project management tools/software
* Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements and unforeseen challenges.
* Experience in managing vendors as part of the project's delivery
