We are opening a new restaurant Rose Lane & expanding the crew.
Due to expansion other jobs available: Duty Manager F&B; Head Barman 'cocktail'.
Location: Rose & Crown Hotel, Guildford, WA
Reports to: General Manager
WA oldest Hotel is seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee daily front-of-house operations supporting our strong Operational Management team. We are offering 3 different dining experiences (Posh Convict & 1841 Garden 'both ALC', Our soon to open Rose Lane Asian inspired Cocktail Bar).
You will deliver exceptional guest experiences, ensure efficient service delivery, with 20+ staff on a shift, liaise with the kitchen and bar management teams, help drive revenue through superior service, team culture, and operational discipline.
Operations & Service
Oversee daily FOH operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality service.
Lead pre-service briefings and service standards training.
Manage bookings, floor plans, and table allocations using reservation systems.
Leadership & Staffing
Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule FOH staff.
Foster a positive and accountable team culture aligned with the hotel’s values.
Conduct performance appraisals and manage underperformance constructively.
Customer Experience
Resolve guest complaints effectively and diplomatically.
Monitor and respond to guest feedback from online platforms.
Build relationships with regular patrons and special event clients.
Collaborate with the GM on targets, and cost controls.
Manage labour costs, shift efficiency, and daily reconciliation accountability.
Ensure compliance with RSA, hygiene, and F&B; licensing regulations.
Work closely with GM, Head Chef, Bar Manager, and Events Manager.
Support functions, weddings, and events with staffing and floor coordination.
Selection Criteria
3+ years of experience in a restaurant or F&B; management role.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Knowledge of WA liquor licensing and RSA compliance.
Experience with POS and booking systems (e.g. Now Book It, Res Diary).
Experience in a Pub or larger style venue or multi-outlet hospitality environment.
Knowledge of local suppliers and F&B; trends.
Hospitality qualifications (Diploma or Certificate III/IV in Hospitality).
Hands-on leader with a "lead by example" style.
Calm under pressure, solution-oriented.
Flexible with evenings, weekends.
Knowledgeable & passionate about food, wine, and hospitality.
