Job Title: Underground Fitter
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fixed Plant Fitter with underground mining expertise to deliver high-quality preventative maintenance and repairs across our gold mining clients’ underground and surface infrastructure.
1. Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting, and timely repairs on plant and underground gear to ensure optimal performance.
* Minimize downtime by utilizing solid maintenance know-how and implementing efficient problem-solving techniques.
* Service, repair, and install underground dewatering and service water pumps, ensuring seamless operations.
* Diagnose mechanical faults and perform preventative and breakdown maintenance to maintain equipment reliability.
* Install, maintain, and repair underground pumps, pipelines, and associated mechanical systems, including relocating pumps as development advances.
* Maintain pipelines, valves, and other associated infrastructure, guaranteeing smooth production processes.
* Perform administrative tasks, such as ordering parts, processing maintenance orders, and recording hours using SAP.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in fixed plant fitting and underground mining.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in SAP and other relevant software.
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
