Career Opportunities: Senior Developer (12008)Requisition ID 12008 - Posted - Perth - AEMO Office (1) - Information TechnologySenior DeveloperDepartment: Digital Division: Gas & Electricity Operations Digital SystemsThis initial 12-month fixed-term role is based at our Perth office.The Digital Division is accountable for operating, maintaining, and delivering digital capabilities for all of AEMO to ensure AEMO fulfills its obligations across all jurisdictions and markets in which AEMO operates.As a critical member of the WEM (Wholesale Electricity Market) Operation Solutions team, the Senior Developer will be responsible for the development of critical real-time power system operation software solutions; working closely with integration teams and other development teams to design, build, and commission those solutions; engaging with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are met; and supporting readiness and transitional activities.Position Responsibilities:Work with Project Managers and Project Leads to deliver software solutions and collaborate closely with integration and development teams.Support successful implementation of critical programs and projects for the WA portfolio as needed.Engage with SMEs and internal stakeholders to develop critical power system operation software solutions.Consult with digital teams to develop transition support plans and materials.Experience and Knowledge:Demonstrated knowledge of best practices when developing systems for critical infrastructure and a proven track record of implementing large complex projects.Experience in high-performing teams operating in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid projects.Proven skills in managing software builds, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.Excellent stakeholder relations capabilities with the ability to form strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders.Excellent understanding of delivering enterprise applications using C#, .Net Core, Java, Spring Boot.Experience with SQL, Oracle, PostGre, Databricks.Experience in building scalable and performant web APIs using modern methodologies like REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets.Experience in containerized development including Docker and Kubernetes.Education/Certificates:Tertiary and/or postgraduate qualification in engineering, mathematics, science, information technology, or a similar analytical discipline is desirable.AEMO is an equal opportunity employer.
