THE ROLE: EXECUTIVE MARKETING STRATEGIST
We're searching for an exceptional Executive Marketing Strategist. You will lead a team responsible for driving and enhancing the strategies for a portfolio of Megaphone's clients across e‐commerce and lead generation. The role reports to the Head of Client Partnerships and will lead a team of 3‐5 Marketing Strategists who look after the client's marketing strategy across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest & LinkedIn. To keep up to date, you will manage 1‐2 clients of your own in addition to leading the team.
Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Strategic Growth
* Oversee the digital marketing strategy for Megaphone's portfolio of growing e‐commerce clients, ensuring alignment with their core business goals.
* Actively check in on client accounts to ensure strategies are being properly implemented and rigorously optimized for performance.
* Manage a small number of your own clients to maintain direct, hands‐on market expertise and executional excellence.
* Collaborate with team members to challenge existing client strategies and drive the development of innovative improvements.
* Plan, strategize, and drive the roll‐out for seasonal promotional periods to maximise performance opportunities across all clients.
* Directly manage and develop a team of 3‐5 Marketing Strategists, each overseeing a significant client portfolio (9–15 clients).
* Upskill the team through continuous training, knowledge sharing, and fostering strategic development.
* Set the execution standard by teaching through sharing, doing, joining client meetings, and providing timely, effective feedback.
* Ensure strict adherence to Megaphone best practice procedures and quality standards across planning, execution, and reporting.
* Foster a culture of strategic thinking and innovation, regularly questioning the status quo in media performance and strategy.
* Lead the auditing of Meta performance across the client base to identify systemic opportunities and best practices.
* Collaborate with Heads & Leaders across the agency to ensure successful strategy implementation and execution.
* Contribute to the building and execution of the overall company strategy, ensuring client delivery reflects organisational priorities.
* Support the team in integrating creative creation and data analysis into a seamless client solution.
Thought Leadership & Influence
* Drive internal training and knowledge‐sharing sessions to lift strategic capability across the team.
* Set the standard for strategic planning and optimisation within the e‐commerce portfolio.
* Lead by example, encouraging a collaborative approach to strategy and problem‐solving to facilitate the overall development of the team.
New Business & Agency Growth
* Assist in sales efforts by collaborating on strategy for high‐value clients.
* Actively support the team on both existing and new strategies, ensuring a strong foundation for client acquisition and stability.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
* Client Performance: Achievement of KPIs (ROAS, CPA, engagement, brand growth), client retention, NPS scores.
* Team Development: Staff retention, progression, and feedback on leadership effectiveness.
The Talent We're Seeking
* 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably within an agency environment.
* Proven track record in paid media strategy across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and/or LinkedIn.
* Strong leadership and people management experience.
* Exceptional analytical, creative, and strategic thinking abilities.
* Proficiency in tools like Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics.
* Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
