We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Chef to join our innovative team at St Vincent's Care Services, Hawthorn on a part-time basis.
In this role, you will bring your strong cooking skills and passion for your profession to create a fine dining experience for our residents that is second to none Delivering multi-course, elegant dishes and planning a variety of menus, this is your opportunity to show your creative flair while working alongside a highly experienced team in a dynamic setting that is redefining aged care standards.
St Vincent's Care Services Hawthorn (locally known as Mary Mackillop Aged Care) is a 91-bed facility located in Hawthorn East, just 7 km from Melbourne's city centre, with Camberwell Junction nearby.

This is a permanent part-time opportunity working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
Things that work for us:
* Proven experience with volume cooking such as hotels, healthcare, and/or similar environments
* Excellent knowledge of all facets of Food Services, including chill production and dining service planning
* Ability to lead day-to-day production with the assistance of kitchenhands and ensure the smooth running of the kitchen
* Understanding of and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
* High level of customer service skills
* Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
* Ability to follow directives as per care plan
* Understanding of aged care and resident rights and responsibilities
* National Police Certificate
* NDIS Worker Screening Check may be required
