PERSOL is supporting a local council seeking a Governance and Policy Officer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. What you will do:Provide administrative support to internal stakeholders and elected officials.Prepare and coordinate meeting processes, agendas and minutes.Facilitate the development and review of Council policies to comply with legislative requirements.Provide research, and report, and policy preparation assistance.Support Council Governance Policy, Procedure, and general document management.Provide research, and report preparation assistanceEnsure appropriately reviewed and monitored procedures and practice. About you:Demonstrated experience in an administrative role.Knowlege and experience with the interpretation of the Local Government Act 1995, regulations, standards, and best practice governance practices.of High attention to detail in a busy environment.Strong organisational skills, able to multi-task and prioritise workloads to meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Able to work occasional rostered outside working hours to accommodate council meetings(Desirable) Experience preparing Agendas and Minutes.
