A specialist company with a national footprint in multi-disciplinary heavy industrial projects.
Located in Newcastle, with 4 other offices across Australia, they want to expand their Structural and Civils Division with a Senior Structural Engineer.
Projects range from various industries including Water & Wastewater, Infrastructures, Mining, Petrochemicals, Port & Piers, Factories, Production Plants, BULK Materials handling, and Processing Plants around Australia.
Key responsibilities:
- Client meetings, and site inspections, while planning engineering and trades activities.
- Key decision-making, technical leadership, and evaluation of brownfield and greenfield projects.
- Strategic asset management, extending asset life, focusing on risk reduction.
- Oversee structural integrity, maintenance, and repair. Conduct structural audits and prepare reports and recommendations.
- Drive multiple projects, large structural and civil projects solving problems, design verification, and VAVE. Create and assess structural designs, ensuring compliance with AS standards.
- Solution focussed, complex loading, structural steel analysis, support, concrete columns, beams, and composite structures.
- Analysis and design of complex dynamic problems, system & structural plant & equipment design.
- Structural Analysis with FEA packages/load calculations. Advanced analysis, FEA, and advanced engineering tools to solve complex problems.
- Working closely with other engineers, and stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities.
- Report and present project analysis.
- Provide mentoring to junior civil and structural engineers.
To apply you will have:
- A committed Lead Structural / Civil Engineer.
- Expert knowledge in civil and structural engineering.
- Chartered Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in structural design, inspection, remediation, and asset management.
- Extensive experience and proven track record leading both people and projects.
Salary:
Our client offers competitive remuneration packages, which vary with regards to experience, $130,000 to $150,000 + Super (depending on experience) and package.
