As an endurance horse trainer, you will be responsible to educate our young horses on the ground whilst managing to train a team of horses and a few staff members under the direction of the manager.

You will be required to live at the property.
The position is full-time, 42.5 hours/week with early morning starts, and weekend work is required when we attend endurance events Australia wide.
Task & Responsibilities
Daily Duties: The following duties may be required and may not be limited to:
- Supervising Staff
- Creating training program for competition horses
- Managing and ordering feed
- Halter breaking weanlings
- Starting horses under saddle
- Riding horses
- Feeding horses
- Grooming horses
- Stable cleaning
- Paddock maintenance including:
- weed control
- slashing
- fence repairs
- miscellaneous needs
- Competing or strapping at endurance competitions
- General health care of horses including liaising with vet and carrying out medical treatment requirements including IM and IV injections
- General care of property
Qualifications & Experience
All applicants must have a minimum of 3 years full time professional experience in competing and training endurance horses and be able to prove they are reliable workers with excellent horsemanship skills. Applicant must be an open endurance rider.
Demonstrated knowledge and proven experience in horse training and handling methods specific to Arabian horses.
Proven ability to train and educate young horses in endurance.
A vocational level of English to be able to communicate in the workplace and take instruction.
Training horses to obey natural and artificial aids, resolving horse problems like shying, bolting, bucking and refusal.
Basic dressage understanding is also required to maintain overall horse balance in competition.
