Job Description
Main Responsibilities:
* Cultivate Strategic Relationships: Partner with corporate functions such as payroll, recruitment and WHS to guarantee precise records are maintained and captured promptly.
* Expert Advice Provision: Deliver day-to-day guidance on employment matters, policies, and employee life cycle queries, including contractual changes, new positions, job descriptions, roster reviews, and straightforward performance management.
* HR Process Improvement: Identify areas for enhancement using a continuous quality improvement mindset to optimize efficiency and uphold process integrity.
* Talent Development: Coach and mentor leaders on conduct and capability issues, offering well-informed advice, particularly during probation and performance reviews.
* Performance Analysis: Deliver HR retention and attraction reporting for Executives and senior leaders, working closely with the HR People Partner to analyze trends and develop proactive solutions.
* Policy Review and Update: Contribute to the review of policies, frameworks, and guidelines, including education and training initiatives for the business.
* Special Projects: Support annual activities such as performance reviews, remuneration reviews, succession planning, and talent identification.
Key Requirements:
* HR Experience: Demonstrated HR experience in a similar role (experience in Aged Care, Disability, Health or related industries is advantageous).
* Australian Industrial Relations Knowledge: Sound understanding of Australian industrial relations frameworks, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and Enterprise/Individual Agreements.
* Communication and Organisational Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise confidently at all levels while maintaining confidentiality and delivering outstanding customer service.
* Business Acumen: Strong organisational and prioritisation skills to manage competing demands effectively.
* Metrics Reporting: Experience in HR metric reporting, including interpreting data and developing actionable recommendations for retention and attraction trends.
* HRIS System Knowledge: Understanding of payroll and HRIS systems; knowledge of Pay Global is highly regarded.
* Employee Cycle Guidance: Ability to confidently advise on HR matters throughout the employment cycle.
* Collaborative Mindset: A collaborative team player who thrives in a flexible and adaptive environment.
* Relevant Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification (or working towards) in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
