Key Responsibilities
* Achieve new business targets for assigned book of business through effective portfolio analysis, retention strategies, and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
* Evaluate and accept or decline new lines, renewals, and endorsements while adhering to underwriting and compliance standards.
* Develop and implement business development strategies to prospect for new business across product lines and broker segments.
* Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to maximize sales and marketing outcomes.
* Provide input on profit analysis, premium planning, market, and environment analysis as appropriate.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrable ability to identify and implement intelligent solutions to unique underwriting situations.
* Appropriate levels of subject matter expertise in pricing techniques, alternative risk transfer, and reserve development.
* Familiarity with key accounts and understanding of underwriting appetites of other departments.
* Judgement and experience to make recommendations for tailoring coverage and manuscripting policies.
* Capacity to utilize negotiation strategies to achieve constructive business outcomes.
* Ability to work well with people and influence decisions.
