Job Title: Academic Researcher in Molecular Sciences
The School of Agriculture, Biomedicine and Environment is seeking a highly qualified Academic Researcher to play a significant role in both teaching and research at the national level. This position involves developing and coordinating curriculum, teaching subjects in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular genetics/genomics, biotechnology, biomedicine or related areas, as well as directing productive research programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teaching and Curriculum Development: Develop and coordinate curriculum, teach subjects in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular genetics/genomics, biotechnology, biomedicine or related areas, and contribute to the development of innovative teaching and learning initiatives.
* Research Program Direction: Direct productive research programs, supervise or co-supervise honours and postgraduate students, and develop research proposals to obtain grants, contracts or consultancies.
* Tertiary Teaching Experience: Have experience in tertiary teaching in biochemistry, cell biology, molecular genetics/genomics, biotechnology, and/or biomedicine, with a strong commitment to excellence in teaching.
* Publishing and Funding: Maintain a strong record of research publication with evidence of quality and impact, and have success in obtaining research funding from grants, contracts or consultancies.
