The Sunshine Coast Persistent Pain Management Service model of care includes the Calderdale Framework. It is an expectation that all staff within the service will engage with this framework and undertake skill sharing, appropriate delegation and, where required, competency-based training.
Psychology clinicians within Persistent Pain Management Service work as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with Clinical Prioritisation Document. Staff will be required to work across other clinical services and facilities within Surgical and Critical care as required to assist in meeting patient care needs, managing leave cover, and succession planning of staff.
Key Responsibilities include:
To apply well developed trauma-informed, specialist clinical knowledge and expertise to manage a complex persistent pain patient caseload and contribute to the knowledge of the multidisciplinary team.
Deliver independent high level clinical psychology assessments and individual counselling to a diverse range of people with persistent pain. Deliver independent high level clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
Remuneration value up to $157,359 p.a., comprising salary between $128,169 - $137,918 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
