THE ROLE
* Review procurement documents and prepare orders
* Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers
* Develop and monitor cost-reduction strategies
* Monitor supplier performance
* Understand, analyse, and evaluate enterprise-wide procurement requirements for products and services
Responsibilities:
* Encourage continuous improvement in competitive bidding practices
* Track and schedule all materials, equipment, and personnel purchase orders
* Track inventory levels and manage purchasing activities
* Review supplier claims and invoices
* Identify equipment needs for project teams
* Develop and implement systems to monitor vendor performance
* Coordinate with staff, operations personnel, and outside agencies to ensure materials, equipment, and services are available when needed
* Assist with contracts, as required
ABOUT YOU
* An ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Experience with process and procedure development
* High analytical skills and attention to detail
* Prior experience in a similar role
