Supporting coverage whilst 2 of our team members are on maternity leave, we’re looking for a dynamic Recruitment & Workforce Coordinator to join our team - someone who brings energy, professionalism, and a customer-focused approach to everything they do.

In this role, you’ll primarily take the lead on our recruitment processes using Expr3ss, ensuring candidates enjoy a seamless, supportive, and efficient journey from application to offer. You’ll play a key part in creating an experience that reflects our values of courtesy and kindness.

You’ll also own the first 90 days of the new-starter journey - managing orientations, coordinating training and compliance requirements, and supporting leaders to set new team members up for success. Your focus will be on creating a warm, well-organised, and engaging experience that helps every new employee feel welcome and equipped.

This position is perfect for someone with a strong customer service mindset and exceptional communication skills. Whether you come from administration, customer experience, or another people-focused role working in Human Resources, your ability to support individuals, stay organised, and build positive relationships will set you up to thrive.

Working Arrangements This role will involve being able to work across our locations in Croydon Park, St Peters, and Christie Downs to ensure a smooth new starter onboarding experience. We offer flexible working arrangements - including negotiable start and finish times, school hour adjustments, and remote work options, however flexibility to work based on the requirements of your day will be important.

1. What You’ll Do This role is hands-on and people-focused, with a strong emphasis on delivering an outstanding recruitment and new-starter experience. Attention to detail, excellent organisation, and the ability to manage competing priorities will set you up for success. While you won’t be expected to know everything on day one, you’ll receive ongoing support and coaching as you take ownership of key Workforce functions, including (but not limited to!):
* Managing end-to-end recruitment, including job postings, screening, candidate communication, interview coordination, and supporting leaders with hiring decisions.
* Leading the new-starter experience, including pre-employment checks, contract generation, welcome communications, and orientation -ensuring every employee is set up for success from day one.
* Coordinating training sessions and ensuring all mandatory training and compliance requirements are completed within the first three months, in line with our annual training plan.
You will also support other Workforce areas such as rostering, student placements, volunteers, compliance and employee wellbeing & engagement as required.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

This role is ideal for someone who demonstrates initiative, a positive “can-do” attitude, and a strong motivation to be part of a team. To succeed, you should have:

* Personal values that align with St Basil’s Homes (SA) values of courtesy and kindness.
* 2 to 5 years of experience in administration, recruitment or customer service.
* Proficiency with MS Office and the aptitude to quickly learn new systems.
* Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
* The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* A flexible, self-motivated, and energetic approach with a genuine enthusiasm to learn and grow.
It would be helpful if you had (but is not an expectation) :
* A Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field will be highly desirable
* Demonstrated experience across the recruitment lifecycle, including writing job ads, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and managing onboarding.
