About the Role We are seeking a Lead Program Architect to provide architectural leadership across a large, high-profile program of work. This role blends strategic direction with hands-on expertise – approximately 60% leadership and 40% technical – making it ideal for a seasoned professional who can influence at the executive level while remaining connected to solution and cybersecurity architecture delivery. You will lead a team of 14 specialists across solution and cybersecurity architecture, setting the roadmap and bringing together 12 complex streams of work into one cohesive direction. Partnering closely with C-suite stakeholders, you’ll shape the long-term strategy and ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned to organisational goals. Key Responsibilities Provide architectural leadership and direction across solution and cybersecurity architecture. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 14 architects. Define the strategic roadmap for a major fraud prevention program. Consolidate 12 streams of work into a unified program vision. Engage and influence senior executives, including C-level stakeholders. Balance hands-on technical work (40%) with leadership responsibilities (60%). About You 15 years’ experience in architecture, with at least 5 years in leadership roles. Proven expertise in both solution architecture and cybersecurity architecture. Strong experience leading large-scale, complex programs of work. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence executives and align stakeholders. Prior experience working within an Australian Federal Government agency highly regarded. Any expereince working on fraud, compliance, or financial crime initiatives will be highly regarded.
