What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Develop and build: Design, code, and implement robust, scalable, and secure web applications using NestJS for the back end and Angular for the front end.
- Infrastructure: Proficiency in Azure function apps, container apps, communication services mainly including others.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Function Apps, Container Apps, and Communication Services (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Collaborate and create: Work closely with our cross-functional team of early childhood specialists, paediatricians, and other engineers to translate our vision into a world-class product.
- Solve complex problems: Tackle exciting challenges in data security, decentralisation, and user experience to build an intuitive and powerful platform.
- Own your work: Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Drive innovation: Research and apply cutting-edge technologies, including AI and decentralised systems, to continually improve the platform.
Who We're Looking For
While we are open to various levels of experience, the ideal candidates will have:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in NestJS, Angular and Azure. Also, the ideal candidate should have experience in working with a payment gateway like Stripe (desirable) or similar. Experience with blockchain technologies (like Ethereum or Hyperledger), smart contracts (Solidity), and other languages (like Python or Java) is a huge plus.
- Minimum 2+ years of professional experience with NestJS, Angular, and Azure
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript (required for Angular development)
- Version Controlling and CI/CD: GitHub, GitHub Actions
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Database skills: PostgreSQL or similar
- Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is valued, but your practical skills and experience are what matter most.
- Problem-Solving Ability: A knack for thinking critically and creatively to find effective, secure, and scalable solutions.
- A "Future Thinker" Mindset: Passion for building something truly new and a belief in the power of technology to improve lives.
- Strong Communication: The ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
- Familiarity with Cryptography: An understanding of cryptographic principles is highly desirable for ensuring data security.
- Previous experience in work in a start-up environment would be highly considerable with highly collaborative and open for changes attitude.
- Must have the right to work in Australia (Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)
