Contract – 12+ months long term preferred
Pay: From $40 per hour depending on experience (Contract with leave and super)
A professional and loving family in South Yarra, VIC are seeking a highly experienced and responsible career nanny.
The nanny will be responsible to care for their little girl (3yrs old) from 6:00AM to 4:00PM each day, and also the youngest child (6 months old boy) for a few hours each morning until his nanny arrives at 8am. The nanny will have 3 days per week with no childcare responsibilities between ~9AM to ~3PM when the eldest is at school. During those windows, the family would like help with laundry, meal prep, errands, and light housework as needed. During the school holidays, the nanny will care for the 3-year-old full-time.
The days and normal hours are – 5 days per week
Monday to Friday 6am – 4pm. If willing, the family will value someone who could occasionally do evenings, weekends, or overnights.
The family is seeking a nanny who is engaging, fun to be around, but also nurturing, calm, and patient. A nanny who can structure their day, be independent, design new routines, and provide fun, creative, and stimulating indoor and outdoor activities that will assist in the child's development. Looking for a nanny that genuinely loves their job as a career nanny and is able to provide exceptional care and support for the family.
A nanny who highly values children's safety, is trustworthy, reliable, punctual, adaptive, can problem solve, communicate, and is able to form a special bond with the whole family and stay on a long-term basis.
The carer's responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
1. To care for the children
2. Follow the children's routine
3. Play and engage with the children
4. Responsible for pick up and drop off from ELC (via trams/public transport)
5. Take the child to activities, i.e., playground, walks, and to the park/playgrounds and out on adventures (Non-school days)
6. Help prep/cook meals and snacks for the 3-year-old and prep an evening family meal
7. Homework assistance
8. Light housework, laundry, tidying as required
9. Run errands
10. Grocery shop
The family's expectations from their nanny are –
1. Must have a minimum of 5+ years nanny or childcare experience
2. Have a current first aid certificate
3. Have a current Working with Children's Check
4. Display strong communication skills and speak English
5. Child safety practices
6. Basic knowledge of food prep/cooking meals
