Procurement Specialist - St Peters NSW Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-5:00PM | $60-65 per hour About the Company Our client, based in St Peters NSW are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Procurement Specialist to join their growing team. About the Role Plan and deliver end-to-end sourcing (RFQ, RFT, EOI) including scoping, market engagement, tender pack preparation, probity coordination, evaluation facilitation and contract award. Drive early engagement and forward procurement planning with client groups; maintain procurement pipelines and status reporting. Shift & Pay Location: Bankstown NSW Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-4:00PM Rate: $60-65 per hour Duties Manage and facilitate the end-to-end procurement process for transactions Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to meet business needs Store council plant, equipment and materials securely Lead large value, high risk procurement transactions. Provide commercial support and advice to the business units in contractual issues. Liaise with Councils General Counsel regarding contractual and legal matters. Manage compliance with the procurement principles of probity, transparency, equity, accountability, record keeping and value for money Skills & Experience ESSENTIAL: Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a procurement specialist role within a complex, multi-stakeholder organisation. Demonstrated expertise in competitive tendering, quotation processes, probity and governance, including development of tender documentation and evaluation methodologies. Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent sourcing events, meet deadlines and deliver compliant outcomes. Experience reviewing and improving procurement strategies, processes, systems, templates and policies that comprise a Procurement Framework. Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to provide clear, consistent advice from planning through to contracting and contract handover. Demonstrated proficiency with electronic procurement systems and data (e.g. eTendering, vendor management, contract registers). Ability to identify savings opportunities, track benefits and support category plans across spend areas. DESIRABLE: Experience in procurement within NSW local government or broader public sector. Experience developing and implementing category management plans and supplier performance frameworks. Experience implementing or administering a contract management system. Qualifications in procurement and supply (e.g. CIPS) or related discipline. Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
