This role involves delivering support to young people aged 12–24 and their families through the Detour program.
You will work closely with partners to provide coaching aimed at preventing youth homelessness.
As a Youth Intervention Specialist, you will help young people build life skills, develop plans for independence, and connect them with their families, communities, and support networks.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification
* Experience in working with young people and their families, particularly within the context of early intervention and youth homelessness
* Knowledge and experience with the youth homelessness sector and/or mainstream services
* Extensive knowledge of casework principles
* Understanding of key issues related to youth homelessness and family breakdown
