Primary objective
Provide high-quality administrative and financial support to the Fire Safety Command, including oversight of knowledge
management systems and associated data sources.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Coordinate billing processes with Department of Corporate and Digital Development for Fire Safety Command.
2. Process monthly invoicing for NTFAST unwanted alarms, requests for unwanted alarm waivers and annual NTFAST
billing.
3. Maintain and administer Northern Territory Fire Alarm System Transmission (NTFAST) and Fire Management System
(FMS) functions.
4. Coordinate the interface of Fire Safety Command and other Government digital systems to ensure ongoing functionality.
5. Utilise and audit Australian Incident Reporting System (AIRS) as required.
6. Manage corporate information, including TRM filing, archiving and disposal of records in accordance with NT
Government guidelines.
7. Provide effective reception services on behalf of the NTFRS.
8. Coordinate applications, quotations and payment receipt for Fire Safety Command Reports.
9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
10.Undertake additional duties as required to support NTFRS Fire Safety Command effectiveness.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience with providing administrative support including, financial administration, and records
management.
2. Strong organisational abilities, including the capacity to work under pressure, meet deadlines, work independently, and
demonstrated initiative with a high level of attention to detail.
3. High level skills in the use of information technology including mainframe systems or similar, with accurate data entry
skills.
4. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to engage effectively with
NTFRS staff, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
5. Current NT-recognised driver's licence.
6. Understanding of Respect Equity and Diversity principles and Workplace Health and Safety obligations.
7. Ability to interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
Desirable
1. Previous experience using government information systems.
