Electrical Maintenance Technician
This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced Electrical tradesperson. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting maintenance and repairs of various types of equipment, ensuring they are safe and efficient to operate.
About the Job
* Maintain and repair heavy mining equipment, including electrical systems, hydraulics and mechanical components.
* Diagnose faults and breakdowns, estimate time and materials needed for repairs and manage costs responsibly.
* Undertake regular inspections of tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
* Provide technical assistance and support to colleagues as required.
Your Responsibilities
1. Conduct daily checks on equipment to identify potential issues.
2. Carry out routine maintenance tasks, such as lubricating moving parts and checking electrical connections.
3. Perform repairs and replacements as necessary, using hand tools and power tools.
4. Assist with the installation of new equipment and perform modifications to existing equipment.
5. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
About You
* You should have at least 2 years of experience as an Electrical tradesperson in the Mining Industry or similar.
* You must be trade qualified with a relevant qualification and have a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures.
* You need to hold a Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class "C" Driver's Licence.
* An Air Conditioning Licence is also required.
* Experience with Caterpillar trucks and Hitachi diggers is desirable.
