We are seeking a skilled Employment Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team.
This role is based in Sydney, where you will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth people operations in a fast-growing environment.
You will report to the General Counsel & Joint Company Secretary and work closely with the Talent Acquisition, Legal, and Payroll teams.
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and skilled Employment Operations Coordinator with a legal background to focus on employment-related matters.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities, Duties, and Expectations
* Lead the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth experience.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and external employment regulations.
* Draft and prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and other employment-related documentation.
* Conduct background, work rights, and reference checks.
* Manage external counsel for visa sponsorships.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in internal systems.
* Update policies and procedures based on business needs and communicate those updates to employees.
* Organise and administer employee engagement surveys and collect actionable feedback.
* Manage the logistics and coordination of performance review cycles.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
* Bachelor's degree in Business Operations and Administration, legal studies, or a related field.
* Minimum 2 years of employment law or employee relations experience, ideally in a technology or scale-up environment.
* Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
