We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Lead (APS6) or Project Manager (EL1) to join the Office of Fair Work Ombudsman within the Criminal Investigations Branch.
About the Role
This is a new team, and you will have the opportunity to shape the culture and work practices as you implement the FWO's ability to undertake criminal investigation of intentional underpayments across Australia. Full-time and part-time hours and hybrid work arrangements are available.
Key Responsibilities
As the Project Lead (APS6) or Project Manager (EL1), your responsibilities include:
* Leading the implementation of a project management framework and PMO within the CIB
* Developing and implementing plans to uplift project management capabilities
* Providing expertise on project management best practices
* Leading project planning and execution in line with priorities
* Overseeing governance, reporting, and compliance
* Managing risks, dependencies, and constraints
* Conducting research and analysis for decision-making
* Managing budgets, contracts, and procurement
* Engaging stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and implement change

Eligibility
You must be an Australian citizen to be eligible for employment with the FWO. The successful candidate must hold or be willing to obtain a current Australian Government Security Clearance.
Selection Criteria
To succeed at both levels, candidates should possess proven project management experience, expertise in business process improvement, leadership skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
About the Branch
The Criminal Investigations Branch is a new branch established to respond to amendments in legislation that introduce criminal offences for employer non-payment of entitlements. The FWO will investigate these contraventions and refer cases to authorities.
