Managers & Administrative Officers Grade 1 (HS1), $ per hour base salary (salary packaging available)

(Junior rates apply to employees aged under 19 years)

West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking a detail‑focused and proactive Accounts Payable Officer to support our busy Corporate Services team. In this vital role, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of high‑volume invoices, helping our organisation deliver safe, effective and patient‑centred care.

You'll bring strong communication and numeracy skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and under pressure. With a commitment to customer service, confidentiality and our organisational values, you will play an important part in supporting the financial integrity of our health service.

Casuals are employed on an 'as needs' basis to backfill leave and extra shifts on days, nights and weekends. Casual positions do not include regular hours.

Our preferred candidate will have:

* Experience in Accounts Payable accounting, including a sound understanding of computer-based accounts processing.
* Knowledge of bookkeeping and accountancy skills.
* Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
* Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support.

The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:

* Previous experience in within a hospital or Heath Care environment.
* Knowledge of Oracle R12 computer system.
* Knowledge of privacy legislation and document control.
* Experience with complex Accounts Payable issues.

IMPORTANT:Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

The West Gippsland Healthcare Group is a customer focused health organisation providing acute medical and surgical, obstetric, emergency, residential care and community health services to 45,000 people in the rural, urban residential, agricultural and industrial areas located within the Baw Baw Shire and beyond. The administrative headquarters are located at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, approximately 100kms east of Melbourne.
