Engineering Internship (Vocational Placement) – July–September 2026 Intake
Start Date: July – September 2026
Premium Graduate Placements (PGP) partners with leading Australian companies to provide industry-based vocational placements for students and recent graduates in Engineering. This program is designed to help participants gain practical, real-world experience aligned with their field of study and career goals.
Placements may be available across the following disciplines:
* Civil Engineering
* Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering
* Electrical / Electronics Engineering
* Environmental Engineering
* Chemical Engineering
About the Role
As an Engineering Intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers and project teams to support real-world projects. You will gain exposure to engineering processes, tools, and workplace practices in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in project design, drafting, and technical documentation
* Support site inspections, testing, and data collection (where applicable)
* Contribute to feasibility studies, reporting, and analysis
* Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and team members
* Apply academic knowledge to practical engineering tasks
* Follow safety, compliance, and quality standards
Requirements
* Currently studying or recently graduated in Engineering (any discipline listed above)
* Basic understanding of engineering principles and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar)
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Good communication and teamwork abilities
* Willingness to learn and adapt in a professional environment
* Availability for at least 3 days per week
