Position Details THE ROLE An exciting opportunity exists for a driven and motivated team player with a strong understanding of and commitment to best practice grants management. The Grants Program Officer is a key member of the Grants Policy Team and is responsible for supporting a range of portfolio areas to design and deliver effective and efficient grant programs to maximise outcomes for the community. This includes providing authoritative advice on the design and management of grants, assisting portfolio areas to understand and apply the department's grants policy and resources, and contributing to the system and practice transformation of grant management led by the Grants Policy team. The Grants Program Officer also leads and supports diverse projects to strengthen operations of the team and grant management practice within the department. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Manage relationships and facilitate effective and respectful consultation and collaboration with grant officers and key stakeholders across DFFH as well as with contractors. Under limited direction, support grant officers across DFFH to design effective grant programs by providing informed grant policy advice and grant system expertise. Proactively problem solve issues as they arise in Grants360 and Oracle and identify opportunities to address underlying causes of an issue to support continuous improvement and best practice.
