ABOUT THE POSITION: The Associate Producer, Public Programs (Scienceworks) supports the development, coordination and delivery of a range of public programs and events designed to engage and grow Museums Victoria's diverse audiences, with a core focus on Scienceworks. Working closely with the Producer, Public Programs, the role helps ensure programs are delivered seamlessly and contribute to an excellent audience experience. The position plays an important part in developing and presenting engaging science-based experiences, coordinating staff and resources, and collaborating with internal teams, partners and community stakeholders to achieve Museums Victoria's strategic and audience engagement objectives. Some of the key duties include: * Working collaboratively with the Producer, Public Programs to support seamless daily program delivery and operations, contributing to team cohesion and a high-performing workplace culture. * Coordinating with Museums Victoria staff, program partners, community groups and other stakeholders to develop and deliver programs that engage diverse audiences with Museums Victoria's experiences, collections and research. * Presenting a broad range of programs, activities and presentations for public and education audiences. * Providing day-to-day support and supervision of Learning Facilitators, including monitoring skills and knowledge needs for program delivery. * Training Learning Facilitators and Volunteers in effective program delivery and audience engagement methodologies. * Rostering staff and resources to ensure efficient program delivery and contributing to departmental administration. * Participating in program reviews and implementing responsive improvements to planning, development and delivery. * Building and maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders that support Museums Victoria's strategic directions. * Ensuring compliance with Museums Victoria policies, procedures and relevant legislation. The successful applicant will have: * Demonstrated ability to coordinate programs or projects, ensuring staffing, resources, logistics and budgets are effectively managed and objectives are delivered within agreed timeframes. * Experience supporting and supervising public-facing teams, including rostering, coaching staff and volunteers, and responding to operational issues during program delivery. * Experience researching, developing and delivering innovative public programs and events for varied audiences in an informal education environment. * Knowledge of learning theories and public engagement practices for diverse audiences, along with sound knowledge of science topics and contemporary issues in a science centre or museum context. * Well-developed communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and tailor communication approaches to different audiences. * The ability to work both independently and collaboratively while contributing to a diverse, innovative, inclusive and high-performing workplace culture aligned with Museums Victoria's values. OTHER INFORMATION This is a Full time, ongoing position. The salary on offer is a VPS3.1 Base salary of $79,122 per annum (pro rata) plus 12% superannuation.
