Electronic Security Technical Support Engineer (SA/NT)
Our client is a diverse global organisation delivering quality Electronic Security Service & Maintenance contracts, and Installation projects to a range of industrial, commercial and government clients.
Building Services Recruitment Australia (BSRA) has been exclusively engaged to recruit an energised and proven Technical Support Engineer for their high performing South Australian and Northern Territory divisions.
The Role
The Technical Support Engineer is a new and senior role for our client, created to meet business demands and act as the electronic security subject matter expert for both states. This role will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver technical support, training, and solutions to all operational departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of Electronic Security systems network and integration, including full knowledge of panels, CCTV and access control.
* Collaborate with Sales to design systems and communicate these designs to the delivery team via Project Managers.
* Provide technical advice and ensure comprehensive client services.
* Develop and manage a work program for Sales, Install and Service tasks, and support project execution according to the branch Workforce Plan.
* Ensure compliance with Australian standards, codes, and policies, and enhance the quality and efficiency of SA/NT Installation, Servicing, and Sales departments through technical training and support.
* Lead system scoping for new products, manage relationships with National Product functions, and participate in the selection and induction of technical staff.
About You:
You are an Australian Citizen and have, or be able to obtain, Defence Industry Minimum NV1 Clearance (this is a mandatory requirement).
You possess strong communication skills, both oral and written, and have a solid understanding of quality assurance procedures. Your flexibility allows you to work varied hours, to allow for time differences between South Australia and the Northern Territory. You take ownership of issues and see them through to resolution, maintaining a professional and confident demeanor throughout. As a team player, you adopt a collaborative approach to your work. You are patient and enjoy being a mentor and trainer to help others to learn.
Skills & Experience:
* At least 5 years of experience in programming and installing enterprise or integrated security systems.
* Experience in Microsoft Server Architecture design and construction.
* Hold all relevant licenses, such as Drivers, Security, and ACA cabling.
* Experience in Defence Industry installation and maintenance.
* Experience in training, coaching, and developing others.
* Strong customer focus, technical problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
* High personal drive and enthusiasm.
* Strong data management and analysis skills.
