Job Overview
Australia Post is hiring an Electric Vehicle Delivery Driver at the Mount Isa Delivery Centre in Mt Isa, QLD. This permanent full‐time role involves operating 3‐wheeled electric delivery vehicles and delivering mail and parcels throughout the local community, Monday to Friday. The position starts at 6:30 am, with flexibility required for finishing times.
Responsibilities
* Start the day early, sorting mail and parcels with teammates at the facility
* Complete a daily vehicle safety check
* Load the vehicle with deliveries for the day
* Deliver to homes and businesses in all weather conditions
* Work autonomously on the road while collaborating with the team
* Receive support from experienced Rider Mentors for professional development
Qualifications
* Hold a full or probationary QLD driver's licence with a good driving history
* Pass mandatory vehicle training and assessment on employment
* Flexible with finishing times and able to work additional hours if required
* Have a good memory, strong hand/eye coordination and strong attention to detail for sorting mail
* Capable of lifting up to 16 kg of mail and parcels regularly
* Meet the safe working vehicle load limit of under 120 kg while fully clothed (including helmet)
Salary & Benefits
* Pay rate of $32.34 ph for the first 3 months, then $36.99 h once fully trained, plus 12 % superannuation
