Where you will be responsible for source selection and procurement functions associated with the company's needs for materials and services in a global market.
These products and services are to be secured at cost, quality and delivery standards. The position is further responsible for the logistics of shipping finished product to distributors and customers, responsibilities include:
- Implementing a fully functional supply chain management infrastructure, ensuring all purchases are in the best interest financially meeting or exceeding company expectations, at the highest quality and at the most competitive price.
- Initiates purchase orders for tooling, packaging and other manufacturing supplies.
- Update and maintain database.
- Stakeholder, Client & Supplier liaison.
- QA of division documents.
- Raising purchase orders and requisitions.
- Maintain supplier relationships in a global context..
- Personal administrative tasks.
- Initiates purchase orders for ingredients, packaging and other manufacturing supplies.
- Maintains close coordination with production management to ensure materials arrive for timely production of finished product.
- Assures that product is shipped to customers in a timely and safe manner.
- Coordinate all co-packer purchase orders; assuring delivery of raw materials, packaging and labels with sufficient lead time for timely receipt of finished goods.
- Secures and analyses quotations, negotiates prices and terms with suppliers, and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and timely delivery competitiveness.
**Skills and experience**
- Have well developed communication skills & the ability to lead and coordinate work as well as develop & maintain effective relationships with key suppliers in a global context;
- Mechanical Trade or Mechanical Engineering background preferable.
- Minimum of 4 year/s experience in a similar role;
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
- Ability to work to tight and changing deadlines;
- Task focused;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Good use of initiative and attention to detail;
- Must be available to commence immediately.
