However, you'll spend most of your time on the road and enjoy developing relationships at various working locations including;- Port Melbourne Large manufacturing and warehouse facilities in Melbourne Branch workshop The role and machinery In this role you will enjoy becoming experienced on the company's mobile equipment fleet which includes heavy forklifts, reach stackers, cranes, integrated tool carriers and other materials handling machines. Your duties in the field will involve;- Scheduled servicing and auditing and statutory checks Component change outs, preventative maintenance, scheduled maintenance, equipment/ technology upgrades Breakdowns, fault finding, diagnostics, problem solving Warranty work The roster and hours Standard hours will be Monday to Friday from 6.00/7.00am to 2.30/3.30pm Regular and consistent opportunities for overtime before and after work Travel time paid from the moment you leave you house to the job site (depending on the location of the work) Your skills and experience You will come from a trade qualification in diesel mechanics and have the following skills and attributes;- Heavy vehicle, road transport or earthmoving experience Materials handling experience is highly regarded, however not essential Ability to work in the field and attend breakdowns and problem solve jobs autonomously Hydraulic and electrical diagnostics is highly regarded in this role (not essential, training available) Strong customer service skills and an excellent attitude towards work Looking for a long-term permanent role with high earning opportunities The opportunity and why apply Paying an attractive hourly rate plus lots of overtime, this is an opportunity to really move your career and earnings forward.
