Director of Operations

About the Role
As Director of Operations, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the hotel, responsible for the effective running of Rooms Division and F&B Departments to achieve established Intercontinental quality, guest and colleague standards, along with departmental revenue and profit goals.
You will form strategic alliances and promote the Hotel through community and professional involvement.

A taste of your day-to-day
* Drive a great working environment for teams to thrive – connect departments to create a sense of one team
* Interact with outside contacts: guests, vendors, and other contacts as needed
* Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on housekeeping productivity, laundry expenses, food, beverage, and labour costs.
* Support and drive incremental revenue initiatives, including daily sales and upsell incentives.
* Ensure guest satisfaction data is analysed and plans are developed to achieve established goals. Regularly review guest feedback and ratings, considering corrective actions.
* The key communicator to the General Manager, Owner, and IHG for guest experience and feedback
* Ensure all IHG Brand Standards are adhered to and the team is trained and held accountable to deliver these standards.
* Work with the General Manager to ensure quality product delivery, design products, and concepts to improve customer experience, maximise revenue, and profit.
What we need from you
* Bachelor's degree or higher education qualification in Hotel Management and/or Business Administration
* Four years of luxury/upscale hotel experience in a senior management capacity across Rooms and Food & Beverage
* Experience working with third-party labour suppliers
* Demonstrated background in devising strategies to elevate the guest experience and increase loyalty enrolments
* Ability to work across multiple diversified business units and projects
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to manage complex relationships and key stakeholders
* Comprehension of Hotel systems and revenue management principles
