About the School
Strathmore Secondary College, located between Pascoe Vale Road and the Moonee Ponds Creek in the northern suburb of Strathmore, serves about 2,000 students across Years 7–12.
With a staff of 290, the college is organised into six vertical teams and supports students through core teachers, team leaders, and specialised coordinators.

About the Position
The primary focus of the Instrumental Tutor is to tutor small groups and individual students, prepare for exams, and contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the music program.
The role is a range 3 position that may include management responsibilities, operational duties, and collaboration with senior staff to achieve school objectives.
Responsibilities
Tutoring the Instrumental Music program.
Implementing strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes.
Maintaining records of class attendance and recording student progress.
Implementing effective student management.
Working with a mentor to participate in professional development planning and reflection, developing a professional portfolio.
Contributing to a range of extra-curricular programs.
Selection Criteria
