Aerlink Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Deputy Continuous Airworthiness Manager (DY‐CAM) to support and strengthen our Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO). This is a senior technical leadership opportunity for a qualified aviation professional to play a critical role in ensuring fleet compliance, safety, and operational reliability.
About The Role
Reporting to the Continuous Airworthiness Manager (CAM), the Deputy CAM will work closely with the CAM to manage the continuing airworthiness of company aircraft in accordance with CASR Part 42, CASA requirements, and Aerlink's approved expositions and procedures.
This role provides operational oversight of day‐to‐day CAMO activities and ensures continuity of leadership and compliance in the absence of the CAM.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting CAMO manager in department strategy and maintenance planning to satisfy Customer. Aircraft manufacture and Regulator requirements.
* Undertake periodic review in CAMO organisation structure, maintenance planning systems (RAMCO) its relevant capabilities to the business and regulator.
* Developing and reviewing maintenance programs by deriving the Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) from the latest Maintenance Planning Document (MPD), Maintenance Review Board (MRB), and other Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) sources for aircraft managed by the organisation. This includes establishing appropriate frameworks and procedures, managing and obtaining approval of the AMP, and ensuring all maintenance is performed in accordance with the approved AMP and released to service in compliance with CAME requirements.
* Managing modification and repair processes by controlling and making changes in accordance with CASA approved standards, supported by the systematic recording and analysis of workflow charts, records, reports, manuals, and job descriptions to ensure full compliance, traceability, and continuing airworthiness.
* Managing compliance with all applicable airworthiness directives and operational directives impacting continued airworthiness, while supporting the effective use of maintenance resources and maintaining high standards of service and safety.
* Advising 145 Maintenance team by analysing current defect status and identifying gaps, and providing recommendations to ensure all known defects are either rectified or appropriately deferred, supporting effective maintenance decision‐making and operational reliability.
* Preparing and recommending proposals for the effective coordination of scheduled maintenance, implementation of Airworthiness Directives, control of service life‐limited part replacements, and oversight of component inspections, ensuring full compliance, traceability, and adherence to approved standards.
* Conducting analysis of aircraft weight and balance data to identify current configuration gaps, providing operation team with strategic recommendations and solutions to ensure full compliance and operational integrity of Load & Trim process.
* Proposing and implementing refined procedures for Part 145 maintenance relations, ensuring that contract establishments align with updated organizational methods and support continuous service improvement.
* Reviewing continuing airworthiness status and advising on the preservation of Certificate of Airworthiness validity for each aircraft, including verification of aircraft airworthiness, compliance with Certificate conditions, and the reporting of both mandatory and non‐mandatory maintenance‐related occurrences to the competent authority and aircraft manufacturer.
* Responsible for amendment and control of CAME, the review and implementation of additional national regulatory requirements where applicable, and the application and ongoing review of continuing airworthiness processes.
* Implementation and promotion of health, safety, and environmental policies, and supporting the strategic integration and oversight of Human Factors principles across all functional areas.
* Guiding CAMO staff through structured coaching and mentoring to build the specific capabilities required for executing functional duties in strict accordance with approved CAME policies and procedures.

Essential Requirements
* A relevant degree or 5 years of relevant experience
* Recent experience in continuing airworthiness management
* One or more of the following qualifications:
o CASA Aircraft Engineer Licence (B1, B2 or C) - current or previously held
o Certificate IV in Aircraft Maintenance
o Diploma in Aviation Maintenance Management
o Diploma‐level engineering qualification (Aeronautical, Avionics, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics)
* Comprehensive knowledge of CASA regulations and airworthiness standards
* Strong understanding of CAMO expositions, quality systems, and AOC operational manuals
* Well‐developed interpersonal and communication skills
