About Our Engineering Team
We rely on our Jetstar Engineering Team to deliver superior safety standards.
They're the troubleshooters, glitch-fixers, and tech-experts who make sure we take to the sky safely.
Solving problems, trying new things, getting hands-on, fixing and double-checking – it's all part of the day job for a Jetstar Engineer.
Job Summary
Following an internal promotion, we are now seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join our AMO Leadership team in the role of Line Maintenance Manager, Sydney Airport.
Reporting to our State Manager, NSW, you will play a critical role in delivery management to the daily operations of Jetstar's Engineering Line Stations located across our key maintenance hubs in Sydney.
Based primarily at Sydney Airport, you will lead a team of Shift Supervisors and dedicated LAME and AME's, providing coaching and mentoring whilst ensuring the ongoing safety and compliance of people and operations.
Responsibilities
Provide critical support to the State Manager for ongoing safety and compliance of the AMO people and operations in accordance with the AMO exposure.
Foster a superior safety culture, including consultation with the team on safety matters, adherence to safe work practices including Fatigue Management Principles, safety inductions, leading investigations and implementation of post-incident/hazard identification action plans.
Create and maintain a quality-focused culture, ensuring team member compliance with JQ MOE and CASA regulatory requirements, completing and distributing all aircraft technical documentation in accordance with policy and procedures, and carrying out ongoing quality monitoring of documentation and procedures.
Daily operational management, including managing aircraft schedule disruptions and recovery in consultation with MOC, management of daily unscheduled and planned maintenance, liaison with a variety of stakeholders such as maintenance planning, and participation in daily operation meetings.
Manage shift rostering requirements including roster build, overtime management, fatigue management within roster build, ad-hoc call outs, inclusion of relevant allowances, correction and submission of shift timesheets.
Deliver strong leadership to a team of direct reports, emphasising growth and development and team member engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience and passion for leading, coaching and mentoring a team of direct reports within the aviation industry.
Willingness to work onsite on a 4 on, 4 off 12-hour shift pattern.
Desire for continuous improvement and passion for aviation.
Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing operational environment.
Flexibility to travel across our East Coast ports from time to time.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, including ability to consider the customer, cost, people and industrial impacts when proposing solutions.
Comprehensive knowledge of the CASA regulatory framework (preferred).
