Part Time, Ongoing Role working 15 hours per week About the role
As a Consultant Radiologist with SA Medical Imaging (SAMI) at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality Medical Imaging services to our patients.
Reporting to the Campus Clinical Head, you will exercise a high degree of clinical judgement and autonomy, working within a multidisciplinary team to advance patient care, teaching, and research across the network.
Your expertise will contribute directly to best practice clinical outcomes, and you will have the opportunity to lead and support quality improvement initiatives within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
This position is integral to the provision of general Medical Imaging services, including professional leadership, supervision of radiology trainees and medical students, and onsite training responsibilities.
You will represent SAMI in campus meetings, liaise with clinicians, and actively participate in multidisciplinary team discussions.
With a strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement, you will help shape the future of diagnostic imaging, and may be required to provide services at other SAMI locations as directed.
About You
To excel in this role, you will demonstrate the following essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
Appropriate specialist qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration, or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
Completion of all Phase 2 training requirements (including passing all components of the Phase 2 examinations) of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) Clinical Radiology Training Program, with at least four years of accredited training in Clinical Radiology.
Proven experience and competence in a broad range of Medical Imaging modalities and procedures.
Experience in or a desire to develop expertise in Women's Imaging (Breast).
