The Role
We are seeking an experienced
Planner
to support operational and project teams through effective planning, scheduling, and coordination of resources. This role plays a critical part in ensuring work is planned efficiently, deadlines are met, and stakeholder expectations are managed. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work across multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
This position requires a proactive individual who can liaise with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure schedules are optimised, risks are managed, and work is delivered safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project and operational schedules
Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractor requirements
Monitor schedule performance and identify risks, delays, or constraints
Liaise with project managers, supervisors, and stakeholders to align planning requirements
Update schedules to reflect progress, variations, and changes
Prepare planning reports and provide schedule updates to management
Support forecasting, resource planning, and workload optimisation
Ensure planning activities align with safety, quality, and compliance requirements
Attend planning meetings, site visits, and coordination sessions as required
Contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes and systems
Essential Skills And Experience
Proven experience in a Planner or Scheduling role
Strong understanding of project or operational planning principles
High attention to detail with strong analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple schedules and competing priorities
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
Strong problem-solving and risk identification capability
Proficient computer skills with scheduling and reporting tools
