Our team is looking for a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join their small, supportive team in rural Queensland.
Job Description
This is an incredible opportunity to make a tangible impact in the lives of individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and interpersonal difficulties. You'll work closely with vulnerable and marginalised communities, helping people who might otherwise fall through the cracks.
* Delivering tailored therapy sessions for a range of mental health concerns
* Monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as needed
* Collaborating with other professionals and referring clients to additional services
You will thrive in a team environment but are comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule. Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and LGBTIQ individuals is highly regarded.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A relevant tertiary qualification and professional registration (e.g. AHPRA or AASW) are essential. You want to make a difference in the lives of others and be the person who helps clients feel seen, heard, and supported.
Benefits
As a valued member of our team, you will enjoy:
* Competitive salary package
* Five additional paid leave days per year (pro rata for part-time)
* Salary packaging to boost your take-home pay
* Flexible hours
* Fully serviced fleet vehicle for work-related travel
* Regular clinical supervision, case conferencing, and debriefings
* Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your family

Following successful placement, eligible candidates may be entitled to receive support and financial assistance through Health Workforce Queensland's comprehensive workforce attraction and retention incentives.
