Job Overview
This position supports the growth of our survey efforts by conducting field-based archaeological research.
Main Responsibilities:
* Digging shovel tests and screening soil to locate artifacts.
* Conducting visual inspections of land surfaces for potential artifacts.
* Packaging recovered items and documenting their origins.
* Maintaining detailed field notes.
* Compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Performing other tasks as assigned or necessary.
Key Requirements:
* Archaeological field school training or prior experience in archaeological surveys.
* Able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and on diverse terrain.
* Able to work extended hours, including weekends, when needed.
* Working knowledge of archaeological survey protocols.
* Able to conduct fieldwork for prolonged periods.
* Must meet criteria identified in job analysis documents.
* Bachelor's degree in Anthropology or a related field is beneficial.
