About the Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Truck Detailer/Yard Hand to join the team based out our Mackay Depot. If you enjoy working outdoors and taking pride in hands-on work, this role could be a great fit for you.
As a member of the Mackay team, you will be responsible for efficiently washing and maintaining our fleet of vehicles, supporting the maintenance team as required, and ensuring our yard areas are kept tidy and well-presented at all times. This unique opportunity may provide a pathway to further career development, including the potential to undertake an apprenticeship in Heavy Vehicle qualifications within our internal workshops, or a traineeship offering the opportunity to obtain your HC/MC licence and progress into a driving career.
The Opportunity
* Minimum of 38 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with the occasional weekend request
* 6:00 am - 14:00 pm daily

Skills & Experience:
* Previous detailing experience on Kenworth Trucks would be held in high regard
* Hold a current manual car Drivers license
* Physically fit with the capability of performing physical outdoor duties
* Proven culture of safety, understanding hazard identification and risk assessment process
* Excellent communication skills and a team focused attitude
* A proactive approach to all tasks
* Highly motivated and self-driven with high attention to detail
