Human Resources Manager – Part-Time (30–32 hrs)
Permanent Part-Time | Multi-Branch
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager to support our multi-branch operation of approximately 50+ employees. This is a permanent part-time role (30–32 hours per week) suited to a practical HR professional who enjoys owning the HR function and working closely with management.
Working hours are flexible Monday to Friday within standard business hours.
A key focus of this role will be updating and modernising our HR policies, procedures, position descriptions, and managing payroll, while providing ongoing employee relations support across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide practical HR advice to managers across multiple branches
* Manage employee relations including performance management, disciplinary processes and terminations
* Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation, Awards and workplace obligations
* Review, update and standardise HR policies, procedures and documentation
* Review and rewrite all position descriptions to reflect current roles
* Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
* Oversee and process payroll weekly, ensuring accuracy and compliance
* Maintain HR and payroll records and provide reporting as required
About You
* Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor
* Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor is required
* Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation and Awards
* Experience in blue-collar and/or multi-site environments
* Blue-collar and multi-site HR experience is strongly preferred
* Demonstrated experience updating HR policies, procedures and position descriptions
* Payroll experience essential
* Minimum of 3-4 years of payroll experience is required
* Practical, commercial approach to HR (not overly corporate)
* Confident working autonomously in a part-time role
* Australian work rights are required for this position
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is preferred.
