ASSET PLANNING ENGINEER
Council is seeking expressions of interest to appoint a permanent fulltime Asset Planning Engineer to contribute to Council's success.

About the Role
The purpose of this position is to provide specialised engineering advice and input into the development of Asset Management Strategies and Plans to meet the defined level of service in accordance with Council's Asset Management Policy. The position is also responsible for innovative asset modelling, planning and optimisation in alignment with an integrated asset life cycle approach.
You will bring:
* Bachelor Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline) and relevant experience.
* Eligibility for membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia.
* Experience in asset modelling and long-term asset planning.
* Experience in assessing condition of assets and setting maintenance strategies.
* Experience in Asset Management, including whole of life asset costings.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
* Experience communicating and negotiating successful outcomes with service authorities, consulting engineers, contractors, senior management and the community.
* Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
* Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
