Job Description – Fuel Operator – Defence ) – Join UGL in supporting Australia's Defence Capability. UGL plays a significant role in supporting the Australian Defence Force across more than 100 locations nationwide. UGL's expertise spans operations and maintenance, asset management, and fuel supply services, ensuring we deliver safely, effectively, and sustainably. We are seeking multiple Defence Fuel Installation Operators (DFI Operator) to join our team at Tindal RAAF Base, NT.
Responsibilities
* Report to the Operations Advisor and perform a range of operational and functional tasks across the installation.
* Ensure the safe, compliant operation and management of aviation and/or ground fuel installations.
* Oversee fuel quality, compliance, quantity, and availability, including related systems and processes.
* Maintain technical integrity of fuel through quality control sampling and testing.
* Bring experience from similar environments—fuel or other high‑risk/hazardous processing industries—highly regarded.
Qualifications & Attributes

* A valid driver's licence (HR or HC desirable but not essential at entry).
* Ability to obtain appropriate Defence Security Clearance.
* Residency in Katherine/Tindal or willingness to relocate (close proximity to Tindal RAAF Base).
