Relationships Australia Tasmania is seeking a compassionate and proactive Counsellor/Case Manager to join our Early Intervention Programs.
This role is part of the Reconnect Program, which supports young people at risk of homelessness, disengagement from education, substance use issues, or cultural disconnection.

The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic casework, group work, and community engagement that empower young people and their support networks.
* You will build relationships and deliver early intervention services that support positive decisions, personal growth, and family and cultural connection.
* This is a dynamic and meaningful role that combines therapeutic support with hands-on community collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver therapeutic casework, group work, and community engagement services to young people and their families.
* Build relationships and deliver early intervention services that support positive decisions, personal growth, and family and cultural connection.
* Collaborate with schools and service providers to ensure seamless delivery of services.
* Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A degree in social sciences, social work, psychology, education, or a related field.
* Experience delivering therapeutic supports to young people and their families, in both centre-based and outreach settings.
* Understanding of issues such as youth homelessness, educational disengagement, substance misuse, and cultural disconnection.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients from diverse backgrounds.
* A proactive approach to building community relationships and working collaboratively with schools and service providers.
