Amazing opportunity to become the standalone HR professional building the HR function for a growing business
**Your new company**
Our client is an Australian medical specialist business with sites across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. They are currently rapidly growing and have recently acquired new sites and surgeons. Due to this period of growth, the Directors have decided it is time to implement a HR function and bring on a dedicated HR Manager.
**Your new role**
This is a standalone HR Manager role which reports directly into the Operations Manager and will have you ensuring the business attracts and retains the right staff. Your responsibilities would include (but not be limited to):
- Working out of two central Gold Coast sites
- Being the primary contact for any HR related matters or queries
- Implementing HR policies and procedures and making sure the business is complying with legislation
- Running the end-to-end recruitment process for admin/reception staff among other roles
- Conducting the exit process for employees as needed
- Developing staff retention strategies
- Knowledge of HR legislation and policies
- Managing performance reviews and disciplinary actions
- If you have an interest in payroll you could also take on the payroll function (optional)
- Other ad-hoc duties as required
**What you'll need to succeed***
- Proven experience in HR at a senior level capable of working standalone
- 3-5 years' + of HR Generalist experience
- A real passion for change and proactively encouraging new and bold ideas
- Experience with end-to-end recruitment
- Experience with performance management and disciplinary action
- Strong communication, admin, and computer skills
- Payroll experience is desirable but not a must
